The Blue Jays have acquired Dana Eveland from the Athletics for a player to be named later or cash considerations. Not a terrible pick up for the Blue Jays, who hope Eveland can emerge as the hard throwing lefty the A's projected him to be. 

He is sure to compete for a rotation spot or place in the bullpen; however, he is out of options so he will have to make the team or else be designated for assignment again.
