MLB.com is reporting that the Dodgers have signed outfielder Brian Giles to a minor league deal with an invitation to spring training. Giles hit .191 in 61 games for the Padres last season, but is a career .291 hitter.
Giles needs to have a good showing if he wants to break Dodgers camp. Giles is very familiar with the NL West, having played with the Padres since 2003.
