Kevin Towers joining Yankees
AOL Fanhouse is reporting that the former Padres GM Kevin Towers will join the Yankees as a special assistant to GM Brian Cashman. Towers will make 50,000 dollars, on top of an additional one million the Padres owe him.
Towers will be responsible for scouting both amateurs and professionals, and will be a great advisor in trade and contract negotiations coming up this season and next offseason.
Towers hopes to one day return to the GM role, and honestly, he will be at the top of several teams lists when the next vacancy opens.
