The Atlanta-Journal Constitution is reporting that manager Bobby Cox has informed prospect Jason Heyward that he will make the team as the starting right fielder. Heyward hit .366 in 41 at-bats with one home run this spring.
"I would've had to be blind not to see what he showed," Cox said before his team's afternoon game against the Tigers.
Heyward continues to show he is ready for a full time job, so it will be interesting to see how he performs at the outset of the season.
