Mariners bringing back Jarrod Washburn?

SI.com is reporting that the Mariners are interested in bringing back starting pitcher Jarrod Washburn. Washburn would fill in nicely in the rotation early on in the season, especially if Cliff Lee has to begin the season on the disabled list.

Washburn was 8-6 with a 2.64 ERA before being dealt to Detroit last season, but struggled with the Tigers for the remainder of the season.

Aside from filling in for Lee, Washburn would give the team a capable veteran behind Ian Snell at the bottom of that rotation. Currently, Doug Fister and his 7.06 spring ERA would be the number five starter.

Washburn was garbage with the Tigers

Seattle needs to bring him back, I was hoping the Royals would take a chance on him because we need a lefty in the rotation bad!

Are we the team to beat in 2010? I sure think so! Go Chiefs.
