Cubs cut Kevin Millar

The Cubs announced another round of roster cuts today, opting to keep the more versatile Chad Tracy over infielder Kevin Millar. He and Tracy will basically give you the same production at the plate, but the Cubs like what Tracy brings at the corner infield spots, especially if Aramis Ramirez needs more regular rest this season.

Millar should be considered almost exclusively as a first baseman. That being said, the Mets could be an option for him. Danel Murphy has hit under the Mendoza line this spring, and the same can be said for Fernando Tatis. It isn't urgent, but it is something to keep an eye on if Tatis fails to get off to a good start.

Do you see any other teams entering the mix for Millar?
