Cubs sign Cuban prospect Juan Serrano

PrintSI.com has confirmed that the Cubs and Cuban defector Juan Serrano have agreed to a deal. Serrano, a right-hander pitcher, is still finishing up some paperwork and will take a physical before the deal becomes official.
Serrano is equipped with a low-90s fastball and will likely be assigned to High-A to better develop his secondary pitches.
A deal should be complete by the end of spring training.
