Marlins made offer to Hank Blalock

PrintFOX SPORTS' Ken Rosenthal is reporting that the Marlins offered Hank Blalock a minor league deal several weeks ago, and are waiting to hear from him. The Marlins are certainly in the market for a left-handed bat and while the team isn't solely focused on Blalock, they would love to add him on a bargain deal.
Blalock hit a mediocre .234 with 25 home runs and a .277 on-base percentage. A .269 hitter, Blalock has battled injuries the past couple seasons but if healthy if he could be a productive team member.
He is reportedly weighing an offer from the Rays as well.
