Former Giants outfielder Marvin Bernard admits steroids use
Former Giants outfielder Marvin Bernard has admitted he used steroids during the team's 2002 World Series season, according to Foxsports.com.
Bernard, a career .271 hitter, said he used the steroids to deal with left knee injury incurred during the season. Either way, another sad reminder of the steroid era in baseball.
Bernard's best season came in 1999 when he hit .290 with 16 home runs and a .359 on-base percentage.

Just goes to show you that even the average to below average players could have used steroids but no one would have noticed because their performance didn't reflect it as much as the big names
