FOXSports.com's Jon Paul Morosi is reporting that the Diamondbacks have acquired left-hander Dontrelle Willis from the Tigers in exchange for reliever Billy Buckner. Willis went 1-2 with a 4.98 ERA in nine games for the Tigers this season.
Detroit is expected to pay the vast majority of the 12 million dollars owed to him. Buckner has struggled mightily in three starts in the rotation, going 0-3 with a 11.08 ERA and 11 strike outs.
