Astros fire hitting coach, appoint Jeff Bagwell

The Astros fired hitting coach Sean Berry and announce they will be replacing him with former Astros slugger Jeff Bagwell, according to ESPN.com. Berry has been with the team for the past five seasons.

General manager Ed Wade said Sunday that Berry became "a victim of circumstances" as the Astros offense has sputtered this season. Still, Wade believes the offense can do better and hopes Bagwell can help that happen.

The Astros are currently ranked 15th in the NL with a .237 team batting average.

Yeah, I though Berry was doing a decent job.

Pedro Feliz was a terrible signing.
It won’t be long until Baggs is the manager in Houston.

Why not us? Why not now?
