Orioles close to deal with Buck Showalter
The Orioles are closing in on a deal with current analyst Buck Showalter to be their next manager, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com. Showalter, 54, is expected to take over as manager sometime after the All-Star Break.
Showalter formerly managed the Yankees, Diamondbacks and Rangers, but hasn't been in uniform since 2006. He currently serves as an ESPN analyst.
It is unclear whether or not interim manager Juan Samuel will return to being third base coach once they hire Showalter.

As I stated before…….
Whoever takes this job is a complete idiot or absolutely desperate. He will end up working for an organization that cares NOTHING about winning and shows their fans and all of baseball exactly that on a consistent basis.
Why do you think that high profile free agents have blackballed Baltimore??
Because they can clearly see a no-win situation, and it isn’t worth their time and effort, no matter what amount of money is thrown their way.
