Today, the Dodgers placed left-handed pitcher George Sherrill on waivers despite reaching All-Star status just two seasons ago. Sherrill, though, was atrocious in 34 games this season posting a 7.32 ERA with 11 strike outs to 16 walks.
Since he is set to make 4.5 million dollars this season, he will likely join the teams Triple-A affiliate.
