The Red Sox are reportedly interested in Royals outfielder David DeJesus, according to FOXSports.com. DeJesus has a 6 million dollar option following this season, so the Royals do not necessarily have to move him. However, adding some more minor league depth would likely be more beneficial long-term than keeping DeJesus.
DeJesus is hitting .326 with 5 home runs and would be able to play all three outfield positions for the Red Sox. The Royals and Red Sox remain in contact, but it is believed that the Royals are combing through the Red Sox farm system looking for the right players to deal for.
