The Giants are interested in Royals outfielder Scott Podsednik, according to AOL.com's Jeff Fletcher. The Royals and Giants have already discussed prospects in a David DeJesus trade, but since he is out for the season, the Giants are willing to negotiate for Podsednik instead.

Podsednik is having a fairly strong season, hitting .308 with 5 home runs in 93 games this year.

The Giants are in need of left-fielder and would probably benefit from the addition of a speedy outfielder like Podsednik. The Royals, in need of any sort of help they can get, would benefit from a solid prospect who may turn into a major league contributor.

seriously. they have a rookie catcher carrying their offense on his back (besides huff), i dont see why they would use prospects on scotty pods. the brewers look like they should be seriously talking to the giants as they have several power guys on the block and are probably drooling over bumgarner
