Dodgers close to acquiring Scott Podsednik
According to Jayson Stark (via Twitter), the Dodgers are "moving closer" to acquiring outfielder Scott Podsednik from the Kansas City Royals.
Podsednik has emerged as a trade candidate since David Dejesus went on the shelf for the rest of the season.
Pedsednik will provide a versatile outfielder with a lot a speed and a very good defender in the outfield. Both Manny Ramirez and Reed Johnson are on the D.L

Pods' D
FYI he’s a terrible outfielder. White Sox fans know that any fly ball is an adventure for Pods, and he’s gotten worse over the years.
eeeeeyep
