Twins, Nationals Swap Capps, Ramos
UPDATE 10:46 ET (Eli Greenspan):
The Nationals have acquired catching prospect Wilson Ramos and pitcher Joe Testa in exchange for closer Matt Capps.
Testa, who owns a 3.30 ERA, posted a 1.96 ERA last season between two levels.
UPDATE: 10:15 PM (Brandon C):
The Nationals and Twins have agreed to swap Matt Capps and catching prospect Wilson Ramos.
The deal makes sense on both ends, as Ramos is a solid prospect and Capps can help solidify the Twins bullpen as they try and catch up with the White Sox.
It is not known yet if Ramos will be up in the majors or down in the minors when the trade is completed. Ramos had a stint in the majors earlier this year, going 8-27 (.296, .321, .407)
Drew Storen will likely close for the Nationals following the trade.

According to Yahoo Sports' Tim Brown (via Twitter)the Minnestota Twins are talking with the Washington Nationals about acquiring closer Matt Capps.
Capps, has had a nice season as he has converted 25 saves for the Nats and has an ERA well under 3.
The Twins have decided to switch course to a reliever rather than acquiring a starter. Capps would make a nice compliment to Jon Rauch in the back end of the bullpen.

Dunn and Willingham probably next this means
White Sox and Rays I bet are players there, maybe the Tigers as well.
If the Nats could get Hudson and Viciedo for Dunn that would be a great return. And then maybe Wade Davis for Willingham to the Rays, or Turner from the Tigers…..
I like what the Nats are doing.
Rizzo is doing a great job

Yeah, I would say the Nats are clear winners in this trade. Although both teams got what they needed. Twins get a closer. Nats shed slary, Capps is going to make a lot next year in arbitration after this career year for him. Ramos is much needed catching depth and throw in a left. I also like what the Nats are doing.
Why not us? Why not now?
