The Nationals have signed pitcher Orlando Hernandez to a minor league deal, according to ESPN.com. Hernandez, 44, last pitched in the majors in 2007 when he went 9-5 in 27 appearances and a 3.72 ERA. Hernandez has always been known as a big time pitcher, but he is far from those playing days.
El Duque should join the team at some point after the All-Star break.
