Lance Berkman approves trade, joins Yankees in Tampa Bay

The Yankees and Astros finalized a trade that sends Lance Berkman to the Yankees for pitcher Mark Melancon and minor league infielder Johnny Paredes.
Berkman is hitting .245 with 13 home runs in 85 games this season. He has been with the Astros since 1997.
