Red Sox acquire Jarrod Saltalamacchia

The Red Sox have traded first baseman Chris McGuinnes, pitcher Roman Mendez, a PTBNL and cash to the Rangers for catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia. The Rangers appear to have lost faith in the prized catcher, shipping him off to a team that has been after him for years.
He has barely played this season, but he will certainly fit into the future plans of the Sox.

He is still pretty young,
I don’t know why they traded him. The Rangers are going to get 2 young players and money for him, so it might be a win-win for both teams.
