Cardinals interested in Astros' Geoff Blum?

The Cardinals have interest in third baseman Geoff Blum, according to FOXSports.com's Jon Paul Morosi. The Cardinals interest is believed to be mild, but the team is in need of a corner infielder and Blum could give them that depth at a cheap price. 

Blum's numbers are not very impressive, but he has already cleared waivers and a trade would be relatively easily to pull off.
