White Sox awarded claim on Dodgers' Manny Ramirez

The White Sox were awarded the waiver claim on Dodgers outfielder Manny Ramirez, according to MLB.com. The Dodgers now have until Tuesday to trade him or pull him back. Ramirez is set to make 4 million dollars over the remainder of the season, but the White Sox are in need of an impact bat and Ramirez would settle in nicely in U.S. Cellular Field in the DH spot.

Ramirez is hitting .313 with 8 home runs this season, a .407 on-base percentage a K-BB ratio of 37-32. Pretty good, and for the White Sox, it could be crucial.
