Twins acquire Brian Fuentes from Angels
In a last minute attempt to bolster the bullpen for the final stretch, the Twins have traded for Angels closer Brian Fuentes in exchange for cash considerations or a PTBNL. Fuentes is 4-1 with a 3.52 ERA and 39 strike outs to just 18 walks.
"It's a positive whenever you can acquire a player of his caliber, a closer from another team, to help fill out your bullpen," Gardenhire said.
The Twins already acquired Matt Capps from the Nationals to be their closer, and plan on using Fuentes out of the set up role. The move certainly fortifies the late innings for the club, especially with the White Sox only 3 1/2 games out of first.

I made a trade earlier in the season...
I gave up Fuentes for Capps when he was with the nationals. Nobody wins for fantasy owners.
