Angels catcher Mike Napoli to be traded today?

UPDATE: The Red Sox claimed catcher Mike Napoli off waivers from the Angels, but a deal is unlikely. The Red Sox claimed Napoli to prevent the first place Rays from adding him to their roster.

Angels catcher Mike Napoli, claimed on waivers over the weekend, has until this afternoon to be traded or simply reassigned to the team that claimed him. Napoli is hitting .249 with 21 home runs and a .317 on-base percentage, just below his career line.

Napoli has the power, and now the versatility (can play first, catcher, and DH) that teams are looking for down the stretch.
