Jim Edmonds traded to Reds for Chris Dickerson
The Brewers have traded outfielder Jim Edmonds to the Cincinnati Reds for outfielder Chris Dickerson, according to ESPN.com. Edmonds gives the Reds a veteran outfielder in hopes of holding off the St. Louis Cardinals, who are only 2.0 games back.
"I don't know what to say," Edmonds said. "It's been a quick 24 hours. To go from kind of the bottom of the standings to the top in a hurry and show up here playing the Cardinals -- it's going to be a little nuts."
Edmonds is hitting .286 with 8 home runs and a .350 OBP in 73 games with the Brewers. He has played with the Cardinals, Cubs, Brewers, and now Reds, making him very familiar with the division.
Dickerson, 28, remains on the DL but will provide the Brewers with an adequate fourth outfielder.

That really is a pretty crazy amount of events within 24 hours lol
I like the move… Brewers had no need for his services anymore.
