- The Mets are reportedly considering a handful of GMs to replace Omar Minaya, who is expected to be reassigned within the organization. It is a foregone conclusion that the Mets will replace manager Jerry Manuel and Minaya at the end of the season. The Mets have interest in former Padres GM Kevin Towers, former Diamondbacks GM Josh Byrnes, and current White Sox assistant GM Rick Hahn.
- Indians executives Mark Shapiro and Chris Antonetti met with former GM Josh Byrnes today, and indications are that the meeting went very well. The Indians would certainly bring Byrnes aboard if he were ready to, but Shapiro said he is in the early stages of deciding his next move.
- The Diamondbacks will likely make an announcement as to who their next GM will be by the end of the season. The team reportedly interviewed Angels scouting director Eddie Bane, Dodgers assistants Logan White and De Jon Watson, Former GM Kevin Towers, and interim GM Jerry DiPoto.
