Phillies outfielder Jayson Werth now represented by Scott Boras

Impending free agent Jayson Werth is now officially represented by super agent Scott Boras, according to Jim Salisbury. Werth, 31, is hitting .289 with 23 home runs and a .379 on-base percentage. This is his highest career average and OBP in his career (with at least 400 at-bats).

Werth is expected to test the market being one of the premier players available this offseason. Several teams are in need of an impact bat so Werth could command a four or five year deal.
