Phillies pitcher Jamie Moyer has no plans of retiring
Phillies 47-year old pitcher Jamie Moyer may be out for the season, but he is rehabbing so he can make a full comeback in 2011. In three full seasons with the Phillies (2007-2009), Moyer has gone 42-29 with a 4.55 ERA in 91 starts.
Moyer is in the final year of his two year deal, so it'll be interesting to see how the Phillies approach him this offseason. He finished this season wit ha 9-9 record, but posted a 4.84 ERA to a 1.10 WHIP.
Moyer could be looking at a one-year deal in the range of 2-3 million dollars. If that's the case, a handful of teams could pursue the oldest pitcher in baseball.

I would be surprised if the Phillies gave him a one year deal. I could see another team giving him a chance though, but I just don’t think he has it anymore to ptich for an entire season.
What I would love is for Moyer to take a coaching job with the Phillies. He has done some great work with the staff in his time and I would love to see him as a full time coach.
