  "The Atlanta Braves have re-signed first baseman Ernesto Mejia and left handed pitcher Yohan Flande to Minor League contracts with invitations to Major League Spring Training. The team has also signed right handed pitchers Adam Russell and Jason Rice and infielder Drew Sutton to Minor League contracts with invitations to Major League Spring Training."

  "With the Mets, he joins Daniel Murphy, Vinny Rottino and Queens product Mike Baxter as outfield bench options. The team has not ruled out re-signing Nick Evans, but he recently declared free agency, and is exploring other options. Endy Chavez and Rick Ankiel (another pitching phenom-turned-outfielder) are among the free agent outfielders the Mets are considering. The team must also decide next month whether to tender a contract to centerfielder Angel Pagan, and is open to re-signing Willie Harris and Scott Hairston."
