Ivan Rodriguez Open To Returning To Texas Rangers

Free-agent catcher Ivan Rodriguez is still searching for a place to call home next season, and the Scott Boras client isn't crossing any team off his list.

In fact, the future first-ballot Hall of Famer told ESPN Dallas in an interview that he would welcome a return back to the Texas Rangers, the club he spent his first thirteen seasons with. Rodriguez also told ESPN Dallas he is willing to accept a limited role on any club, which is what he's done for the past several years.

In an injury-plagued 2011 campaign, the 40-year-old hit .218/.281/.323 in 137 plate appearances with the Washington Nationals. If Pudge can manage a way to knock in another 156 hits, he would cement his legacy even further by reaching the 3000 hit plateau.
