Some news and notes from around all of the MLB on free agents, where they will sign, and if they will sign:
- Eric Seidman of FanGraphs says that former Philadelphia Phillies closer Ryan Madson is the loser of the off season, as Jonathan Papelbon and Heath Bell have signed while the Boston Red Sox traded for Andrew Bailey.
- Roch Kobatko from MASN Sports says that the Baltimore Orioles will in no way sign Prince Fielder for more than eight years and $200 million. The Orioles have been in and out on Fielder all off season.
- Dan Connolly of the Baltimore Sun says that Edwin Jackson will get a four year deal, and that the Orioles are intrigued from what he can bring to the table.
- Bob Brookover from the Philadelphia Inquirer reports that the Philadelphia Phillies will not be bidding on Cuban outfielder Yoenis Cespedes and he also argues that Jorge Soler is too much of a risk to offer $20 million to as well.
