Robinson Cano Bruises Knee, Hopes to Play Through It

Stay connected for news and updates

Brian Hoch of MLB.com is reporting that despite Robinson Cano's injury (bruised knee) during today's game, he intends on playing through it.

"It hurts when you start running, but after you keep running, you feel better for a little bit," said Cano, who winced when he pointed to the knee. "Hopefully, I'll be all right tomorrow."

Also:

  • Rafael Soriano is still feeling stiffness in his pitching elbow and was forced to end his bullpen session today.
  • Yankees recalled Hector Noesi from Triple-A Scranton and will carry 13 pitchers until Soriano returns.
