• According to the team's official twitter feed, the Blue Jays have recalled LHP Luis Perez from Triple-A Las Vegas. In a corresponding move, they optioned IF Mike McCoy.
• Rob Biertempfel of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette tweets that the Pirates have assigned former Rule-5 pick Donnie Veal to High-A Bradenton. Veal is still "on the mend" recovering from Tommy John surgery that sidelined him for the whole 2010 Season.
• The Braves are still considering placing Jason Heyward on the DL, tweets David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal Constitution. Heyward has missed lots of time in May with a shoulder injury
