Rob Neyer is either the busiest man in baseball, or he slept about 3 hours last night. In his mad burst of activity today, Rob follows up his must-read AL Contender Wish Lists by asking, "which .500 AL teams could still be contenders?" My vote is with Toronto.

• Who are this year's best rookie hitters? Espinosa, Arencibia, Barney, Trumbo, Freeman all make the short and qualified list. Hosmer is notably absent, but it may be an oversight or some qualification I missed.
  
• Kyle McClellan's hip swelling earns him a trip to the DL. Lance Lynn will take his spot in the rotation.
• What are Morneau and the Twins Thinking? Why is he bothering to play through an injury, if in fact that's the primary problem? The answer is vague, but with the Twins out of it on June 1, it sure makes me wonder.
  
• Astros' Rookie Jordan Lyles had a great debut last night.
• And finally, it's time to take Toronto seriously. Or at least it was before Kyle Drabek and Co got butchered by Cleveland, which makes me wonder how volatile these types of hype-posts are.
