According to the New Orleans Zephyrs (Marlins AAA affiliate) via Twitter, the Florida Marlins have signed infielder Jose Lopez to a minor-league contract. Lopez, who was traded from the Seattle Mariners to the Colorado Rockies in December in exchange for Chaz Roe, was released a couple days ago. He's hit .208/.233/.288 over the course of 129 plate appearances this season. Lopez will be assigned to AAA.
