Is B.J. Upton On The Move?
Let the speculation begin.
Tampa Bay Rays CF B.J. Upton was pulled in the eighth inning of tonight's game against the Kansas City Royals. Upton didn't appear to be hurt at the time he was pulled from the game.
To add fuel to the Upton trade speculation, Desmond Jennings was a healthy scratch tonight with Triple-A Durham.
The Rays have let it be known they are willing to listen on Upton, so this may have legs. We will keep you posted if things develop.

And all of that excitement on Twitter appears to have been for naught.
Jennings is replacing Reid Brignac on Tampa’s roster, not Upton. Brignac is being demoted to Durham. No status on him yet, but it doesn’t appear that he’s been dealt.

not so sure
Adam Kilgore from Washington Post tweeted that the Nats were scouting Rays this week, and they have been very vocal about their need for a centerfielder. I think Upton is traded by next Sunday.
