Outrighted to Triple-A: Richardson, Quintanilla, Lewis

  • The Atlanta Braves outrighted left-handed pitcher Dustin Richardson to Class Triple-A Gwinnett, according to David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The move was made to clear a spot for recently acquired middle-infielder Jackson Wilson on the roster.
  • The Texas Rangers outrighted infielder Omar Quintanilla to Class Triple-A Round Rock, the club announced. The move was made to clear room on the active roster for both catcher Matt Treanor and left-handed reliever Michael Gonzalez. The infielder hit .045/.045/.136 in 23 plate appearances at the majors, but is hitting a modest .298/.369/.452 for the Rangers PCL (Pacific Coast League) affiliate.
  • The Cincinnati Reds outrighted outfielder Fred Lewis to Class Triple-A Louisville, the club announced. The move was made to make room on the active roster for outfielder Chris Heisey.
