For those of us who thought poor play was the reason for Mike Cameron's release, guess again.
According to Juan C. Rodriguez of the Sun Sentinel, the Marlins released Cameron because of conduct detrimental to the team. Rodriguez didn't elaborate as to what exactly that conduct was.
This is very surprising considering that everything I have ever heard about Cameron suggests he has always been a model employee and a great teammate. Then again, who knows with the Marlins. They have their own way of conducting business as evidence by the Logan Morrison situation.
There's never a dull day in South Florida.
