Yu Darvish is officially a Texas Ranger, with him signing a six-year deal worth $60 million yesterday evening. One question that now emerges, is what happens with Prince Fielder? The Rangers had showed interest in him, and he is the biggest name still available. Let's take a look at some rumors surrounding him.

  • Jon Paul Morosi says that the Washington Nationals are the current favorite to sign Fielder. The FOX Sports writer notes that many in the industry think he ends up in DC.
  • Evan Grant from the Dallas Morning News says that the Rangers are still very interested in Fielder, but it would take a creative and short term deal to get it done.
  • Morosi notes that Fielder's price tag has to come down for him to sign in Texas, as GM Jon Daniels said earlier that they cannot afford him with their current budget.
  • The Rangers have been viewed as one of the front runners for Fielder, along with Washington, Toronto and Seattle. Where do they stand now? It seems like they want him, but only for the right price.
