Cleveland Indians Sign Julio Lugo
According to Dionisio Soldevila of the Associated Press, the Cleveland Indians signed shortstop Julio Lugo to a minor-league contract. The deal reportedly also includes an invitation to Spring Training.
Lugo, 36, spent the 2011 season with the Atlanta Braves, though he only played in a total of 22 games before he was released. In those 22 games, he hit .136/.208/.136 (48 plate appearances). Over his career, spanning 12 seasons, he's hit .269/.333/.384 in over 5000 plate appearances. He's also stolen nearly 200 bases in the majors.

I know this is completely off topic and slightly pedantic, but seriously
Julio Lugo is one of the best baseball names right now. Fausto Carmona was as well (sorry, ClevelandFan).
He’s got some damn good initials, too.
