After ten seasons in the majors, David Eckstein is retiring. The 37-year-old reportedly had teams willing to bring him into camp, but decided to retire nonetheless. Throughout his career, Eckstein played with the Angels, Cardinals, Blue Jays, Diamondbacks, and Padres. In 1311 games, he collected nearly 1500 hits, posting an overall line of .280/.345/.355 (87 OPS+).
