According to Jim Bowden of ESPN, the Washington Nationals and 1B Prince Fielder are working on a deal, but do not have a deal in place as of this time. Just yesterday, we heard that the Nationals -- along with the Texas Rangers -- were frontrunners in the Fielder sweepstakes. Additionally, a number of executives believe that the Los Angeles Dodgers will ultimately make a bid for him.
Pricne Fielder, 27, hit .299/.415/.566 with 38 home runs in 2011 en route to a third place MVP finish.
