Alex Rodriguez says that he plans to remain with the New York Yankees for the 2013 season and has no intention of waiving his full no-trade clause to play elsewhere, reports Peter Botte of the NY Daily News:

Speculation of A-Rod's immediate departure from New York has been rampant over the last several days because of the third baseman's benching during the ALCS and unsubstantiated rumors of a possible trade to the Miami Marlins. Yankees GM Brian Cashman was quick to deny any dealings at all with the Marlins and that Girardi's decision to bench A-Rod was purely a baseball decision, it has not stopped others from adding to the rumor mill.

Buster Olney of ESPN reported Thursday that he expects Rodriguez to be traded "long before his contract expires in 2017." Some, like Bob Nightengale of USA Today, believe that A-Rod would be a good fit for the Los Angeles Angels in a swap for outfielder Vernon Wells, though Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com finds that suspect with third base prospect Kaleb Cowart quickly making his way through the Angels' farm system.
