Toronto's GM is reportedly seeking starting pitching on the trade market.

Toronto Blue Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulos is "itching" to make a trade in order to acquire starting pitching help, reports Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports:

The Blue Jays have had easily the busiest offseason of any MLB team so far. Now just a month in, Toronto has already signed infielder Maicer Izturis on a three-year deal, traded manager John Farrell to the Red Sox for shortstop Mike Aviles (then promptly traded Aviles to the Indians for reliever Esmil Rogers), acquired Jeremy Jeffress from the Kansas City Royals, signed right-handed journeyman Justin Germano, and claimed seven players off of waivers.

That Anthopoulos wants to acquire more players should really come as no surprise then. The Blue Jays struggled on the starting pitching front in 2012, losing several starters to major injury and receiving sub-par performances from those who were healthy.

Where AA expects to find starting pitching and whom he expects to trade to receive that help is anyone's guess at the moment.
