Marlins rumors: Miami shopping Ricky Nolasco, Logan Morrison

The firesale isn't over yet, as several rival general managers expect the Miami Marlins to trade right-hander Ricky Nolasco, and the team is also shopping outfielder/first baseman Logan Morrison.

Several rival general managers expect the Miami Marlins to trade right-hander Ricky Nolasco, and the team is also shopping outfielder/first baseman Logan Morrison, reports Joe Capozzi of the Palm Beach Post:

The Marlins officially began fire selling last night when they sent shortstop Jose Reyes, right-hander Josh Johnson, left-hander Mark Buehrle, outfielder/third baseman Emilio Bonifacio and catcher John Buck to the Toronto Blue Jays. Miami also shipped out right-handed reliever Heath Bell during a three-team trade earlier this offseason.

Nolasco is set to make $11.5 million next season, likely putting him out of the price range of the cost-cutting Marlins. The 29-year-old has started at least 31 games for Miami four of the past five seasons. He maintained an ERA of 4.48 over 31 starts spanning 191 innings last year.

Morrison may be better known for his Twitter account than his production at the major league level. LoMo hit .230/.308/.399 with 15 doubles and 11 home runs over 296 at-bats for the Marlins last season. The 25-year-old owns a career line of .250/.339/.442 over three seasons.
