The Houston Astros have outrighted infielder Scott Moore of the 40-man roster and assigned him to Triple-A, reports Brian McTaggart of MLB.com:

Moore appeared in 72 games for the Astros last season. The 29-year-old hit .259/.330/.448 with 11 doubles and nine home runs over 201 at-bats.

It was the former first-round pick’s first time at the major league level since 2010, when he was with the Baltimore Orioles. It was also his most extensive stop at the bigs, as he hadn’t ever recorded more than 86 at-bats at the major league level in a single season.

Moore has spent parts of five seasons at the major league level with the Chicago Cubs, Orioles and Astros. He’s hit .242/.302/.410 over 385 at-bats.

Moore has also spent 11 seasons in the minors, seven at the Triple-A level. Last season over 73 games and 245 at-bats for the Astros’ Triple-A squad he hit .318/.410/.555 with 26 doubles and 10 home runs.
