Here's a roundup of all the recent news and notes regarding the Cleveland Indians.
Hey guys we've had a ton of content since the winter meetings, so it's easy to miss stuff. Here's the latest from the Cleveland Indians:
- The Indians pursued free agent outfielder throughout the offseason, even welcoming the slugger for a visit. Cleveland would eventually sign Swisher to a four-year, $56 million contract.
- Beyond Swisher, the Indians also added to their offense by signing free agent Mark Reynolds. The former Baltimore Orioles third baseman, who reached a one-year, $6 million agreement with Cleveland, is expected to see a majority of his starts at first base in 2013.
- While they added Swisher and Reynolds, the Indians traded outfielder Shin-Soo Choo along with Jason Donald, Tony Sipp and Lars Anderson in a three-team deal that netted them Drew Stubbs, Trevor Bauer, Matt Albers and Bryan Shaw.
Also, be sure to follow the Indians team stream for everything on the club!
