The Arizona Diamondbacks main focus this offseason seems to be acquiring a young, but major league ready, shortstop that can play everyday. Having already been rejected Atlanta Braves shortstop Andrelton Simmons, is GM Kevin Towers now focusing on a trade to land Cleveland Indians' Asdrubal Cabrera?

According to Buster Olney of ESPN, the D'Backs have constructed a four-team trade that might net them Cabrera. Olney adds the trade is currently dormant, though, meaning nothing is imminent.

While we know the D'Backs and Indians would obviously be involved, there is zero indication of the two other teams in this proposed trade. In order to find the shortstop they have been seeking, Arizona has been shopping right fielder Justin Upton, so he would presumably be on his way out in this potential deal. But would it be to the Cleveland, or one of the two unknown teams?

Cabrera, 27, is signed to a three-year, $21 million deal, keeping him under team control through 2014. The shortstop is slated to earn $6.5 million in 2013 and would make $10 million in the following season before hitting the open market.

While his range is poor, Cabrera's bat has come around the past two years, clubbing a combined 41 home runs and slugging .443 in that span.
