Boston Red Sox received minor league pitcher Graham Godfrey to complete the trade that sent Sandy Rosario to the Oakland Athletics.
Boston also signed reliever Koji Uehara to a one year/$4.25M deal
Yankees avoided arbitration with left fielder Brett Gardner, signing him to a $2.85M deal for 2012 with $150,000 in incentives.
The Yankees and the Red Sox
have both been connected with top free agent slugger Josh Hamilton following the end of the Winter Meetings. It appears the former Texas Ranger is holding out for a six or seven year deal, however, and both clubs are reluctant to commit that many years.

Kevin Youkilis to replace the injured Alex Rodriquez and they have offered him a one year/$12M contract. The choice for Youkilis seems to be down to the Yankees and Indians at this point.
The Red Sox are targeting a number of starting pitchers at this point. They
have offered a two year/$25M deal to Ryan Dempster, who rejected it in hopes of landing a three year deal. They are expect to be in on Kyle Lohse as well.
Tampa Bay Rays are still shopping James Shields and the Royals appear to be targeting him and fellow Ray Jeremy Hellickson as they search for a front line starter.
Orioles are looking for a power hitter to boost their offense.
Blue Jays are among the top suitors for R.A. Dickey, according to Buster Olney.
