- The Reds signed Ryan Ludwick to a two year/$15M contract
- The Pirates sent pitcher Kyle Kaminska to the Red Sox to complete their trade for Zach Stewart.
- The Cubs re-signed free agent third baseman Ian Stewart to a one year/$2M deal.

- The Reds are the favorites to sign free agent third baseman Jack Hannahan.
- The Reds are looking for a lead off hitter for the outfield and they have spoken to the White Sox about Alejandro De Aza and to the
Rockies about Dexter Fowler. - The Cardinals are shopping Skip Schumaker and the Dodgers and Twins are both interested.
- The Brewers join the Red Sox and Royals on the list of teams trying to land Ryan Dempster on a two year deal. Dempster is seeking three years.
